Creative progress

If you are looking for $25 Michael's Gift Card giveaway , go here!

Hi Everyone!

It's Monday again, hard to believe the weekend went by so fast!

I have been working on  a Split Paper Bag Mini Album here and there and can't wait for it to be done to show you! I have been dealing with an annoying allergic reaction to medication for 4 days so there is a lot of scratching  and Benadryl is causing me to sleep a lot. Cross your fingers for me that this will go away as quick as possible, pretty pleaseeeeee.

So today instead of not writing a post I decided to show you one of the very first cards I ever made, now we all know what it is like to start out so try not to laugh...I didn't have any pattern paper so I doodled!!! I guess that is quite common now! Actually I don't know about you but it almost became second nature to me when I got bored in a class at school.. oh that seems so long ago...

I used really big flowers on all cards starting out because I had seen one in a magazine and was determined mine was going to be as nice..........not! It's the effort that counts right? lol

Here is my masterpiece, hehe

Oh! and don't mind the date, this was an older camera and I had no idea how to change the date on it, this was a little over a year ago. Don't you just love the way I understood inking at that time! hahahaha.... over all I still adore this card, there will be no other card like your first and I hope you all either saved or took a photo of yours, it is always nice to see how far along you have come.

New Invention! Quad Center Step Card

If you are looking for the $25 Michael's Gift Card Giveaway, go here!
Hello!

For those of you who have been following my blog knows that I have been working on a new invention! I have never challenged myself quite this much before when it came to card making but let me tell you it was quite an adventure. I said I would post this project rather it turned out or not and I am happy to say that I am 90% there! I need to work on the dimensions a little more to perfect it but other than that I am quite happy!

Let me know after viewing the project if you would be interested in making one of these yourselves, that way I can get the dimensions down perfectly and do a tutorial if I get enough people interested.
Well here it is!! ( Ahhh, getting nervous now!)
Next time I can work on the design a little more, this design would be great for a little girl!

You may see a few rough edges and bends due to having to get the score lines right, remember  this is only a protocol, hehe

I also decorated the inside a little , I think something hanging freely from the center would be nice!

Where I didn't have the dimensions down properly the top of the card didn't look as good as I had hoped so I covered it with this homemade bow , I think it made quite a difference and added another element of fun to it... the center of the bow is a homemade flower made out of a certain type of wool... I recked one of my scarves to make this, hahaha, now I can make as many as I want! It would be perfect as a topping of a cupcake don't you think or an icecream cone??

Happy Birthday Card/ I have a Winner!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are here for the $25 Michael's gift card , go here

Hi! It's hard to believe it's Friday again, I've been busy as a bee and as they say, time flies when you are having fun!

I never got my new invention card done yet but it is in progress...

It came to my attention yesterday that there are three birthday's coming up in March! Troy my best friend whom I live with wanted a card done up for his mom so I did one that cordinated with the colors of her living room!

I love this card and all the soft colors, I hope she likes it!

I tried doing a background that is pieced together, there are 6 arcs, each separated by a thin strip of green arcs... it never turned out just right so I added lace to cover up an error... then I added flowers on top of the lace! I am happy with the results.. I punched 3 holes on the binding, sewed the inner pages of the card with wool to keep it together like you would some notebooks.

What an amazing hop we had for Amy Jo, it was quite the experience for me!!! I gained over 20 followers and am so excited to have talked with some of you!

Drum roll please!!!........................................
