Hello everyone!  We've reached the midway point in our very first challenge.  The theme for this month's challenge is all about CELEBRATION!  We are so very excited that we now have 15 people signed up but there is still lots of time to get in on the fun and we really hope that you will have a chance to join us.  You can find all the details you need in order to enter by clicking HERE and heading over to the original challenge post.

As a refresher, here are all the images that were released at the challenge start...

Don't forget, Naomi has also offered up two of the images, coloured as well..

You got to see creations for four of the images during the challenge start and now it is time to showcase projects featuring the final four digis.  Here is what the DT has been up to...

Naomi created a card using Pablo Birthday as well, only she used the coloured version...

Hopefully that will help give you even more inspiration to join in the fun!  Clicking on the individual bugs will take you to each DT member's blog to check out the details of their projects.

There is still almost two whole weeks to request your digi and then enter.  What are you waiting for?  With four fabulous prizes to be won, what is stopping you?

We truly hope that you will consider joining in our challenge if you haven't already.  Remember, you will find all the details you need on the original challenge post.   Click HERE to head there now!

We also hope that you will continue to join us throughout the month.  We still have a couple of fun ideas planned and it would be a shame for you to miss out on any of the celebration!

Take care and we'll see you soon!

Bit by the Bug Beginnings: Another Bug is Born

Welcome everyone!  It is time for another new release.
Today I am happy to introduce you to:

Bringing Balloons

Meet Bryce.  Remember Brynn?  Well Bryce just happens to be her husband and he is rather excited that the baby has been born.  So he has decided to bring some balloons to the hospital while visiting his lovely wife and new baby _____.  Oh-oh, looks like you are going to have to wait and find out what sex the baby is, sometime down the road.  You will just have to stay tuned until the baby makes its debut.

Buy Bringing Balloons HERE for just $1.00!!!!

Here is a card that Suze from Craftysuze made for inspiration this week!!

Check out Bryce as he makes his debut on Suze's fabulous card.  For more details, on how Suze put her card together, please head on over to her blog (link above card).

Jennifer from Krafty Keepsakes was also able to help out and created this card...

Another wonderful card showcasing Bryce.  For more details, on how Jennifer put her card together, please head on over to her blog (link above card).

Sneak peek guesses...

There were no guesses this week as to what the sneak peek could be.  I guess I managed to outsmart you guys for a change.  I'm afraid that that will be in the minority so I better get busy creating some extra papers and digital sentiments!

How would you like the opportunity to win a copy of this proud poppa?

Anyone who has a link to this blog or Naomi's store in their sidebar or on another permanent page somewhere in their blog, is eligible to win this new release.  It can be existing, you can add it to your blogroll or if you want, you can grab either the store or blog button that I have included below and then link them to their appropriate location:

http://scrapbookingforbeginners-naomi.blogspot.com/              http://www.creativebugdigis.com/

You will also need to add your name to the Inlinkz list below and then leave me a comment letting me know roughly where to find the link on your blog so I don't spend hours looking for it.  Your chances of winning are one in five because for every five people who participate, I will add one extra free copy of the new release.  So, if we get 10 people, that will mean two people will win and if we get 15, three of you will walk away with this fabulous new release, etc., etc. Bringing Balloons would be suitable for creating so many different kinds of cards so I hope that you will take a few moments to enter!

Winner will be announced on July 11th, when it will be time for the next new release!!!!

Which brings me to the winner of the last new release image.   Choosing a winner was easy since only one person participated.  So, Jennifer S., I'll be in touch regarding your win of Brynn's Baby Bump.

Well, that is it for me today.  Please come back and visit with me on Saturday when I show a sneak peek of this coming Tuesday's newest freebie.

Until then, have a fantastic couple days and good luck everyone!

Freebie - "Bobby's Bo-Bo"

Hello everyone.  It is Lisa here to provide you with this week's freebie.   Now there were only two guesses this week about what the sneak peek may reveal and I don't have a clue how she did it but Ike managed to figure out just what the image was. So, Ike please EMAIL ME with the subject "BOBBY'S BO-BO" and I'll send off a digital paper I've created.

And without further ado here he is...

Now Bobby has been in the store for quite awhile lurking around under the name 'Hurt Toddler'.  He was tired of not receiving any attention for his hurt knee and caterwauled until I brought him out to get some loving attention from all of you wonderful ladies.  You know how terrible toddlers can be.  Anyways, now is your chance to give this little guy some love.

To get this week's freebie, just left click on the image to bring it up in its full size, then right click and choose 'save as'.

Now I was fortunate that two of Naomi's entourage had some extra time in their schedules to help out and make a card showcasing this annoying little monster sweet little boy (seriously you should have heard the racket he made.)

So this week we have Jennifer S. from Krafty Keepsakes showing us one way of using this image in a card...

Didn't she do a wonderful job?  I just love his little alphabet towel and the really interesting shapes she has chosen to use as a backdrop behind Bobby.  If you would like to see the details on this card you can head on over to Jennifer's blog.

Suze from Craftysuze also decided to help us out this week by sending in this card...

Another sweet version showcasing Bobby's Bo-Bo.  I really love that Paisley paper.  I have some myself that I'm itching to use.  The sentiment is a perfect accompaniment.  If you would like to see the details on this card you can head on over to Suze's blog.

Now on the slight chance that some of you have already received this image as a freebie in the past, I wouldn't want you to walk away empty handed, so, if you would like to head over to my blog HERE, you can pick up a free sentiment that matches the tone of this image.

Well folks, that wraps it up for another Tuesday.  Thanks for stopping by everyone and a very special thank you to Jennifer and Suze who pitched in to help me out by creating wonderful cards to showcase Naomi's fabulous freebie.  Now, same as last time, if one or two of you have the time and would like the opportunity to work with one of Naomi's digis and have your project displayed here on Naomi's blog, please contact me and I'll get next week's freebie off to you as soon as I can.  See you on Saturday with next week's sneak peek.

Thank you Card

Happy Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love Fridays, usually because I get to have Michael home but he has been home with me all week fighting a cold... he only lost one night's sleep and we have been happy go lucky since.
My friend Coralee has landed on the Island today for a home visit and guess where she is staying!!!!!!!!!  Yep!!! right here and I am so excited. (Can't you tell!!!!)

Today I am sharing a card I made to thank a very special lady, she was Michael's Teacher Assistant last year but since the car accident she has been driving Michael back and forth to school. I want her to know that she is very much appreciated.

I hand drew the flower and stamped it with a wooden cloud pattern and inked it around the edges with Tim Holtz Black Distress ink, I crumpled it and also lightly inked over the top then added a flower in the middle.

I would have said more about how I made the card but my friend just called and is on her way right now!!!!!!!!! eeeek!

Have a fabulous weekend!!!!!

I have a DT project scheduled for tomorrow , hope it works!!!

Valentines "Lots of Love"

Welcome!!!!

I thought I would do a Valentines card that is different from the traditional colors.  I got to use some of my new products from Michael's!

This card is for my mom because she rocks my world and I adore our relationship, she is the most beautiful woman in the world.

I used a wooden stamp from Michael's for cupid , I stamped , embossed, and cut him out to place him on two circles I cut using my EK Succes circle cutter. The lots of Love sentiment and heart is a cricut cut from " Birthday Bash"cartridge.

See!!! another altered clear button!!! I have been making tons of these, to know how refer to my previous post. The best part about making these is you can use what ever paper you want that will match your project!

The flower lace boarder is from Tim Holtz Trimmings.
Have a super day!!!!

Happy early Valentines to me!

Hello,Happy Wednesday!
I am so happy you dropped by because I am really excited about my project today. I always say I am going to make an album for my own personal use but seem to never find the time. Well over the weekend I decided to make one for the people in my life that capture a piece of my heart...Happy Valentines Day  to me! (I hope I can complete it by then, lol)

For the album I used Michael's Chip Board Journal for only $1.50, can't beat that! The sentiment is a mixed word owl stamp set from Getting Cricky with Kristal Andrews. The heart is a stamp  I embossed with my new Stampendous Pearlustre Carnelian embossing powder. The owl was from Recollections cling stamps.

The letters that make the word Love are from my new Tim Holtz Ideaology Grunge blocks! Would you like to know how I made the scrolls??  I stamped a calender on a piece of white cardstock 3"by 3" with gold embossing powder then stamped and embossed the red arrow. I cut the calender into 1"by 3" sections and rolled it! I covered it in a gloss to harden it.  I love my heart doily!!!!

I added googly eyes to my owl and embossed mushrooms near the bottom. The base of the card was painted with snow (Titanium) white acrylic paint mixed with a Pearlizing Medium which gives it a shimmer and a shine.  I know you can't see it in the photos, I wish you could, it is gorgeous!

Over the weekend I had a blast at Michael's Store, here are some pictures of my new haul!!!!
The prices would blow your mind!!!!

The flowers , lace ribbons and boarders from Recollection were only a $1.00 ea.!!! Reg. $ 7.99ea.

The recollection flowers in the bottle below were Reg. $11.99ea. and I got them for a whopping $1.49ea!!!!! Embossing powders were $2.99 Just crazy!

This  has to be my favorite buy " Grunge board blocks!"...I have been wanting these so long but just wouldn't pay $17.99.  I got  them for $6.99!!!  I got two of them for less than the regular price.
I got so many deals but just couldn't share them all but wanted to give you an idea so you will all run to Michael's this week!!! LOL

May the bird of paradise fly up the crack of your nose and may an elephant caress you with his toes... hehe!

Do you recall the post where I said I have really exciting news!!! I know some of you just can't wait any longer to hear about it (wink, wink) so here it is:

(You know you have to hear the story !!! Just gotta!)

It all started with a friendly email from a blogger friend who supported my blog for months as I did hers. Without further adieu meet
 Lisa Decosse over at

Lisa is one of the most amazing people I have ever met in my life in so many ways, I love love love that Lisa can reach out to so many people considering the challenges she has faced and is still facing today. Lisa and I have become such good friends that the men in our lives seriously needs to get to the closest Home Hardware and buy a crow bar to pry us off the phone.
We started out writing books through email, yes books, a letter just doesn't cut it,  and we continued to build a friendship that has certainly added tremendous joy to our lives.

Through getting to know each other we decide to Collaborate!!!!!!!!!!

Lisa is a girl of many talents from card making, making digital designs to having a way with words like no other I have ever me.
We are  taking our talents and combining them to give you a new world to enter that will be a place that will bring our crafty selves together.

Do you remember my New Year's Resolution?
I am happy to say I have started my blog make over course!!  Lisa and I have been working hard on the Design and layout  to bring something new to the table. Where we are in the beginning process of breaking every little detail down so we cannot elaborate on the specifics yet. What I will say is we are doing something I haven't seen done in any other blog!  eeek!

To thank Lisa for everything!...I created a  card for her:

I embossed the background with my dots embossing folder and inked it with brown corduroy distress ink from Tim Holtz. I used Spellbinders for the center and bottom edge... "Shapabilities - Ironwork Accents" for center and  "Edgeabilities-Mix and Match Classics" for the bottom edge.  The hearts you see is also an insert for the Edgeabilities.

The brown buttons were created by using paper candy!! I used EB7 (Spectrum Noir Pen ) to color the button then added stickles in the center.

Here I used "WORD ART" in   Microsoft Office word , typed "you are an extraordinary friend" and extended the box to make it curved! Give it a try, it was so easy and you get to create your very own personalized sentiment!

I have been making lots of these buttons lately and I love them!!! To make it: use the right size circle punch (or close) to the size of the button from a piece of pattern paper that will suit your project. Add clear glue to the pattern side and adhere to the see through button!

Have a fantastic day!!!!!!
