(Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!!!!!!! I have 27 new followers since yesterday morning, that is flippin out crazy!!! Thank you!)
Well hello, what a beautiful day on Prince Edward Island, I love sunny days, it matches how I feel inside....ESPECIALLY after all the bloggy love I received and is still receiving since I started celebrating my 100th follower!!!! You rock! Everyone of you and I cannot thank you enough for making me feel I've reached the stars... such beautiful comments and support!
Today I am sharing with you a card I did called "Hope". I have a friend who just last month took all the piled up cards that were made for tutorials and such then donated them to the Autism Society so they could sell them and put it towards craft supplies and such.... this has inspired me greatly to do the same and most of you know I have a little fella (Michael) who also has Autism which is the very reason I had started this blog. My first mission take a course in Web Development and Graphics (check) , then build an informative Autism site which you can find here....then learn to make cards along with digital stamps, start a blog, gain an online presence and eventually start my own little store...check check check check .... A percentage of what I would sell would go to the Autism Society here in PEI. I am happy to say that most of what I planned is checked off and yesterday you all brought me closer to my goal , a sincere thank you.
I meant to make a box for this card but I didn't have time ... I tried something different here... I punched out flowers and place them all over the card in different colors, as you can see I went over the edge except on the bottom.
Did you noticed I used paint chips!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (those little samples you get at the hardware store?) Well this one was one of those long ones with at least 6 colors on it..
Maybe I should have had a darker back ground , the flowers on the right side are hard to see making it look off balance, just picture them there ok! hehe |
So one day Michael was terribly upset that he had a king's attire (actually a Santa suit) but didn't have a CROWN!!! Well it was like it was the end of the world... so for the first time in a long time I got out my cricut and took a chance on making a paper one and butterflies in it with that!!! It is from the Cindy Lou Cartridge, I also stapled an elastic band on there so it wouldn't fall off... on the crown , not the cat, hehe
It was huge success, Michael loved it which you all know really delighted me and saved me from having to go to the store.
Take a look at this cutie!
Have a fantastic super day!

Wow, this is so gorgeous!! I absolutely love the use of the paint samples!! I grabbed a bunch a few years ago for a project and never used them...you have inspired me to find them!! The lace is beautiful!! And I love the adorable webkinz!!
To keep a post at the top of the page, after you post it, go back and edit and change the post date to the date in the future you want it to end. Since posts are in chronological order, it will keep the newest one at the top, so that one will stay there until the date. If you need more help, shoot me an email at indymermaid(at)gmail(dot)com and I'll walk you through it...just let me know if you have upgraded to the new blogger format yet :)
