Discussion of Upcoming Changes AND the Saturday Sneak Peek

See, I told you I'd get caught up in the Olympics!  When I went to bed last night I watched a 45 min. special "On the Road to the Olympics" and then watched the Men's and Pairs short program for the team Figure Skating Competition.  So with dreams filled with skating and snowboarding all over the place (not sure where the snowboarding came from unless it was because they listed who qualified for the semi finals in slope), let's just say it wasn't the most restful sleep.  Well at least I'm finally here.  However, before I get on with today's sneak peek, I wanted to discuss some of the changes about to take place over here.

For the last couple months, Naomi has been very busy changing the store around to serve you better.  While doing so, she also toyed around with some other changes that she'd like to implement.  Today, I'm going to share a little bit about those changes.

Somewhere around the beginning of June last year, we implemented a schedule where freebies and new releases were posted bi-weekly on opposite weeks.  That format served us well these past seven months.  During that time we even managed to build up a small team of dedicated ladies to showcase Naomi's digi stamps.  Well, it is time once again to change things around a bit.  While change can be difficult for some, it is good for the soul because it doesn't allow us to stagnate in any one situation for too long a time period.  As the focus of this blog switches, so must the format.

Therefore, Naomi has decided that she no longer will be giving out regularly scheduled freebies.  Now those of you that love getting Naomi's images, don't panic just yet.  Note I said, 'regularly scheduled freebies'.  I didn't say there wouldn't be any, just that they will no longer be handed out on a bi-weekly basis or in any set pattern.  Naomi may decide to do a freebie one month and then none the next.  Then you might get two or three over the course of a couple weeks.  That is why it will still be important to continue to pop by on a regular basis so you don't miss out on any potential freebies.

So, that leave our new releases.  Naomi has been itching to do more and more digi creation and as a result is planning on having a new release almost every single week.  I say almost because there might be some months where we decide to give our hard working team members a little time off AND because of something else we are looking at incorporating every once and awhile--CHALLENGES!  Yup, you read that correctly.  Over the course of the rest of this year we are planning on having three special challenges.  If everything goes according to plan, there will be one in March, one in July and the final one for the year, one in November.  Now, I'm not going to get into any more detail about the challenges right now.  I have to leave somethings up for surprise, don't I?  Besides, the very first one is only 3 and 1/2 weeks away so you'll be hearing about it soon enough!

The other big change is in regards to the day of the week we will be showcasing New Releases.  Starting this coming week, our New Release posts will take place on Wednesdays.  So that means that almost every single Wednesday, you will be able to feast your eyes not only on the newest digital images going into the store, but also on some great inspiration provided by our team members.  Wednesdays are going to be wonderful around here!

AND don't worry, you'll still have the opportunity to participate and win goodies with our sneak peek guesses and of course have the opportunity to win a copy of each new release.  Nothing is changing as far as that goes.

Now since we no longer have a Freebie Team and a New Release Team, our teams will be undergoing some slight changes as well, although there will still be two of them.

First up is....
Team Bugaloo which consists of currently active members--Vicky and Monica.  You'll be seeing Team Bugaloo's creations this coming Wednesday, February 12th.  In case you are interested, Bugaloo is a slang term, often used as a name for showing affection or endearment towards a person.

Then next up is...
Team Bugalug which consists of currently active members--Suze and Judith. You'll be seeing Team Bugalug's creations the following week, on February 19th.  The word Bugalug is an Australian term of endearment.

Don't you just love the new team names?  Cute as a bug's ear right?  Now just because the gals are divided, doesn't mean that you won't sometimes see a member of Bugaloo showcase a card when Bugalug is scheduled and vise versa.  Some of our gals have extra time on their hands and it is always great to be able to showcase another way to use Naomi's images.

Well, I think that that covers it for now.  Naomi and I are looking forward to switching things up around here and we hope that you will continue to stick around and grow with us.

So on that note, how about we get to this Saturday's sneak peek while it is still Saturday in most parts of the world...

This coming Wednesday marks the launch of a new three week collection of images.  Of course I'm not going to tell you the theme yet...although you can find a hint of it elsewhere on the blog if you look around a bit...
Have you got your thinking caps firmly in place?  If you have an idea of what you think the OVERALL image may be, no matter how outrageous the guess, please offer it up by Tuesday, Feb. 11th at 12:00 pm EST (noon) in a comment on this post to be eligible to win a possible goody.

Don't Forget...

There is still an opportunity to win a copy of Naomi's latest release, 'Snowden'.  Click HERE and scroll down to find out how.
Thanks for popping in!  Have a wonderful week everyone and I will see you all on Wednesday!  Of course, now I also have to remember to get the post done on Tuesday night instead of Wednesday so wish me luck!

Bit By the Bug: Another Bug is Born...Snowden

Hello and welcome to the final release in our Feeling Frosty event.  It is still rather frosty over here in Canada and many other parts of the world.  It doesn't help that BOTH Punxsutawney Phil (US) and Wiarton Willie (CDN) saw their shadows on Ground Hog Day.  I don't think I can take another six weeks of this weather.  I haven't been out of the house since the last week of December and won't be emerging this rate until spring!

Well at least one frosty session is coming to an end with this final new release in the collection.
Yup, you guessed it, one last snowman.  Even though there has been a slew of them, they all are unique with their own little identities.  This week is no different.  I'd like you to meet...
Snowden is such a happy fellow.  While we may not be pleased that the groundhogs saw their shadows, Snowden is certainly thrilled as you can tell from the expression on his face.   Six more weeks of snow means six more weeks of vacation on the East coast before he has to head home to the Arctic.  There isn't a whole lot to do up there, nothing compared to the activities taking place in communities along the East coast.  Snowden is really hoping he'll have a chance to visit the ice hotel in Quebec before he heads home as well.  Six more weeks gives him plenty of time to do a bit more sightseeing.
You can find Snowden for purchase in the Seasonal section over in the store.  Clicking HERE will take you to the page he is located on.
Now let's check out what three of our DT came up with to showcase Naomi's wonderful new snowman...
Greetings from Monica and Snowden.  Monica has gone with a great colour scheme and layout to show off this frosty fellow.  Great die cut, texture and sentiment label too.  You can check out all the details of Monica's card by visiting her blog, TaylorMade 4U.

Can you imagine seeing a snowman out partying somewhere?  Well, I can and so did Judith.  Snowden is certainly set for some fun.  I believe that he might be headed to a Winter Luau.  He is certainly dressed the part, isn't he!!!   You can check out all the details of Judith's card by visiting her blog, Judith's Adorable Creations.

Suze has a way with monochromatic cards and this one is no exception.  Even though Snowden is surrounded by blues he certainly doesn't have the blues.  In fact, he looks rather dapper in the colour.  Pretty lace and a great sentiment round out this creation from Suze.  You can check out the details of this creation over on her blog, Craftysuze.

Sneak peek guesses...

Since it is the last week of our current collection, I thought that I'd be a bit easier on you guys.  Also, since some of the sneak peaks were a bit more difficult this round, I've decided to offer up this week's goody to anyone who has submitted a guess throughout all five weeks of the collection.  It might just be the migraine I've been battling on and off for over two weeks now or the sleepless nights I've had for the last month making me loopy but, heck, you guys brighten my Saturday's with your guesses so I'm in a sharing mood.  So that means that not only, KT Fit Kitty, Sarah and Edwina are entitled, but also Kimberly, D~, Desíre, Julie, and Ike can get it too. So you lovely ladies listed above, send me an email by clicking HERE with the subject heading 'CBD Sneak Peek: Snowden' and I'll send you out a copy of the Feeling Frosty Sentiment that I created for the collection badge.  This one is changed up a little to add some extra colour and make it bigger.  Please note that it might take me a few days to get back to you though, so I appreciate your patience.

Now, it is your chance to win a copy of the latest new release...

Once again you have the opportunity to win a copy of Naomi's newest release.  In order to have your name in the running to win a copy of Snowden, I want to know, if a snowman was able to participate at the Winter Olympics, what would be the ultimate sport he should compete in and why?  I'd love to hear your thoughts on the subject.  Leave a comment ON THIS POST by noon on February 11th, in order to have your chance at winning this image.

Winners will be announced Feb. 12th during our next new release!
In case you didn't catch that, the next new release will be out next Wednesday, not in two weeks time on a Thursday.  We've got some changes coming up again.  I'll explain them all on Saturday during the next sneak peek.  For now it is time to announce the winner of the last new release.  I had wanted to know, what is your favourite winter sport?  While most of you are spectators, not participants, it was interesting finding out the kinds of winter sports you like best.  Four of you shared with me and the answers were almost as varied with skating--both figure and speed, tobogganing and even bobsledding.  I happen to enjoy watching all those sports in addition to downhill skiing, luge, ski jumping, curling, skeleton, snowboarding, etc.  Yup, go figure, I hate the winter but love watching all the winter sports.  Now if I only had time to actually fit them in and watch them.  However, given that the Olympics are just about to begin I better find some time.  Thank goodness for DVRs because when it comes to the Winter Olympics, I don't want to miss a thing!  Now enough about that, time to tell you who won a copy of the last new release, Shiver...

  Kimberly
(randomly chosen at  Mini Web Tool)

Kimberly, please contact me by clicking HERE with the subject heading 'Shiver' to get your copy.  Like I mentioned above, it might take me a few days to get back to you, so I appreciate your patience.
Okay, it is time for one last snow themed joke...

Q: How do you know if there's a snowman in your bed?
  A:  You wake up wet!

As I mentioned above, there are some changes about to happen and I'll be sharing them with you during the sneak peek post on Saturday.  At that time, I'll also be showing you all a snippet of the next new release coming out.  We are about to start a brand new collection and I hope you will come back to check it out.  See you Saturday, unless of course I get lost watching the Olympics....
