Saturday Sneak Peek

If you are looking for 2 Creative Chicks Ch# 3 Bows, Buttons, Brads Challenge , Go HERE or scroll down the page.

It is Saturday and around here that means it is time to see a sneak peek for Tuesday's Freebie.  As we mentioned in an early post from today, freebies will now be offered twice a month so here is your first June freebie.

This is another brand new image; so, let's take a peek and see what Naomi has in store for us this week.

You guys are way too clever at guessing images already in the store but I don't think you are going to be able to guess the overall design of this one. Bwahahaha.  However, if somehow you do, I'll offer up another digital designer paper as a reward.  You'll definitely deserve it if you figure out this one.  In fact I'll start to think some of you are psychic...or having conversations on the side with Naomi.  So, offer up your guesses by Monday at 5:00 EST to be eligible.  This should be interesting...

I hope that you will all be here on Tuesday when I reveal the freebie.

Until then,

New Changes Here At Creative Bug on the Loose

 Hello!

It is a new month and that is going to bring about some new changes over here on my blog.  As many of you know I will participating in a Women in Business Trade Show here on the Island on June 30th.  While I have lots of cards already done there is still some work to do.  Also as I plan on having my own little shop here in Souris down the road, I am going to have plenty to keep me busy.  Eeeeeeek!  Big changes are in store throughout the months ahead. So exciting hey??

Of course, these big changes in my life will leave me with a little less time for blogging but don't worry I am not abandoning you completely, just shuffling things around a bit.  I will still be posting about all the creations I make to continue to provide you with a little east coast inspiration.  What will change is that I have asked Lisa to stay on as my Promotional Coordinator.  Now what does this mean you ask?  Well, I'll tell you.  Lisa is going to step in on a permanent basis to offer up sneak peeks and the freebies I will continue to offer up on my blog.  She will also be responsible for coordinating the new releases when they come out.  You have all welcomed and supported her during my absence and I hope that you will continue to do so.  She is a very important person in my life and I know that you will come to appreciate her unique sense of humour and flare as you get to know her.

I have also decided to change things up a bit in terms of the frequency of freebies and new releases offered.  I am going to try to reduce the number of freebies from four to two a month but increase the number of new releases from one to two a month.  Just like in the past, there will be opportunities to win a copy of each new release.   Now, since this means that I'll be showcasing a minimum of  four new images a month, Lisa and I have decided to create a Creative Bug Designs Design Team so that you will have the opportunity to see my images at work.  More details and a DT call will be posted shortly.

So, changes big and small are at work over here and I hope that I can count on your continued support.  You all mean the world to me and I am hopeful that you will keep buzzing by and be part of this new journey I am undertaking.

Lisa found a really great quote for this occasion:
"Today I close the door to the past, Open the door to the future, take a deep breath, step on through and start a new chapter in my life." ~Author Unknown
Wish me luck as I begin this new chapter in my life.

Have a super fantastic day everyone!

Freebie - "Love Comes First"

Hey all!  It is Tuesday and that is Bit By the Bug day around here.  This week we have a brand new freebie available for you.  Naomi was feeling well enough to create a brand new image and today I get the honour of presenting it to all her wonderful readers.

Today I offer you, "Love Comes First".

Click HERE to get "Love Comes First".  Available from May 28th until June 3rd.  After that it will be replaced with the newest freebie.

This a great new image that will help all of you gear up for Father's Day which is fast approaching.  I'm sure many sons all around the world wished their hard working fathers had more time to spend with them, just as I am sure that most fathers wish they could toss around a ball with their son or go their games instead of staying late at work and taking care of business.  That is why this image is so endearing.

I hope you like it as much as I do.  You may have noticed that things are a little different this week for obtaining the freebie.  Since Naomi is feeling better she was able to link it up to the store.  Don't worry, it is still free and will remain so for the next week.  Just click where it says and it should take you to the correct download page in the store.

Naomi was feeling so well that she even had the opportunity to create this card to showcase her new image...

Here is a closer look at that sweet digi...

Didn't she do a fabulous job.  I just love the antiqued look around the image and all those really cool buttons with a bat and a couple baseballs thrown in for good measure.  The backdrop the image is sitting on itself is just so neat too.  The sentiment is just 'perfect' as well.  I've missed seeing my wonderful friend's creations and this one certainly does not disappoint.

I created a layout using Naomi's digi.  Now, granted this isn't my best work but what do I expect for trying to put it together at 3:00 in the morning.

Elements used to create this layout are from the 'Baseball Dreams' free kit downloaded from {Computer} Scrapbook.com.

Thank you so much to Naomi who took the time to not only create a brand spankin' new image for all of us but to also create a card too.

Well that is it for today.  In June there will be some new changes taking place on Creative Bug on the Loose so I hope you will all join Naomi and I on the weekend to learn what they are.

Thanks for stopping by everyone!

U light me up!/ Haul

Happy Monday!!!

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend, our family got together for a meal that I prepared, we are talking homemade sweet and sour meatballs, rice, Kale , broccoli, Lobster rolls and a huge roast, yes I was a busy bee.

Do you have that certain someone in your life that manages to elevate your mood as soon as you  hear their voice? This is the perfect card for such a person, why not tell them they light you up?, that is exactly what I plan to do only I can't reveal their name, wouldn't want to spoil the surprise!

I used Paper Made Bakery April's Kit for this card... I love the stamps that come with this kit from Fresh Squeezed Stamps... the lanterns are part of this stamp set, I stamped and fussy cut them and used 3D dots to raise them. I also added liquid embossing to creating the lighting effect, hehe!

 Here is a closer look

The Haul from Halifax!

I didn't spend very much money at all for I hit incredible sales, I mean up to 75% off!!
I also found a store in Pictou, NS, a dollar store but not your typical one , this store had everything...

Have a looky!!!

Two 50 page 12"by12" pattern paper packs at $4.00 each!!!

Lattic punch for only $13 dollars!!

Lastly I want to show a couple of pictures of Michael on his trip and when he got home, he has a new hat and he is quite proud of it, he picked it out himself.

On the 6th floor in the parking garage

hahaha... look at that expression..it is getting harder to take pictures of Michael for now he likes to be silly..this was a mild form of silly..you can see the badness, LOL  Love it!!!

Have a fantastic day and I can't wait to get by to visit you all later today!!!!
