Today I am feeling great and I feel like shouting it out to the whole world, yesterday I made a very elegant card with a whole lot of intricate and I am soooo excited to show you!

How to make a Corrugated Trellis

To make this trellis, take a piece of card board and strip away the outer paper on both sides so just the coragated paper is showing. (It can be a fussy job depending on the card board you are useing but it is worth it), then cut  into strips

Sizes For Strips
1 @ 3" (Vertical center strip)
2 @ 2 7/8" Vertical strips)
2 @ 2 6/8" (Vertical outer left and right strips)
1 @ 2 1/2  (Top Horizontal strip)
1 @ 2 " (Bottom Horizontal strip)

Cut 2 @ 1" by 3/4 " for the base of the trellis
Be sure to cut the strip ends on an angel and line them up as shown in the picture.

The blue flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the small flowers on the trellis are from Recollections.

Freebie Sneak Peek...

Hello all you lovely ladies.  It's Lisa back again to get your interest piqued for this week's upcoming freebie.

I'm dipping into the store again and this week am grabbing an image that was doing a LOT of complaining.  It insisted that I snag it and present it to all of you.  Sheesh, there were tears and everything!  It is possible that some of you may have picked this up as a freebie in the past but at least for those of you who are newer followers, this one will be brand new.

Now I double dare you to figure this one out!  Same rules as last time.  For anyone who leaves a comment with the correct guess, I'll send you a free paper.  Of course, you will have to wait until Tuesday to know if you were correct.

So make sure you come back in three days so you can pick up another of Naomi's sweet images as a freebie.  I'll provide another update on Naomi's situation at that time if one is available.

Until then,

On your Wedding Day

Hello!

I am thrilled I am able to drop in and show you another project I did a while back my peeps!
I used  Spellbinders "Fleur de Lis Squares" die cut for both the silver card and the main image. The main image was a used card that I had saved from another occasion so yes  a little recycling going on here!

The sentiment is from Jaded Blossoms, "Wedding Wishes" and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts

I also got creative with the box adding a hatpin that I bought from Christina's new shop over at "Flowers Ribbons and Pearls"

I hope you all have a fantastic day and thank you for keeping me in your prayers, I am leaving with Michael on the 22nd of May to go off Island for his Sedated MRI so I need to be at my best. The set back Lisa was referring to yesterday was upon awakening I am unable to see normally out of my right eye, all I see is a grey mist or clouds, something like that but it does go away. I seen the doctor and we have to let it play out.

Have a fantastic day!!!!

Freebie - "Mortimer"

Hello everyone.  It is Lisa here to provide you with this week's freebie.  If you missed the post I created to explain my presence (you can find it HERE), but in short, I'm just here to help Naomi out a bit until she gets back on her feet by providing all her loyal readers with weekly freebies.  It was a rather rough day for Naomi today and a step back I'm afraid so please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers.  I know that the cards she saw and will continue to receive in the mail over the next couple weeks will certainly help to lift her spirits.

This week we have "Mortimer". Mortimer is a longtime resident of the store and was just itching to make an appearance.  So without further ado, I present your freebie of the week...

To get this week's freebie, just left click on the image to bring it up in its full size, then right click and choose 'save as'.  Update:  This image is no longer available for free.  You can now find Mortimer in the store.

Unfortunately, with everything going on this week I didn't get the opportunity to create a card or even get it off to the honourary DT gals to help me out.  It also appears that next week will be more of the same, on my end anyways, as I am in the process of getting ready to meet with a first cousin this coming weekend that I've never met in person as she was given up for adoption.  So, I hope you will forgive the lack of cards showing you different ideas of working with the freebie.  Seems to be a busy time of year for everyone as they gear up for summer.  That being said, if one or two of you have the time and would like the opportunity to work with one of Naomi's digis and have your project displayed here on Naomi's blog, please contact me and I'll get next week's freebie off to you lickity-split.

Now I was so confident that NO ONE would be able to guess this week's freebie, that I actually put forth a challenge.  Yeah, apparently you guys are just too smart for me because the four people who actually guessed, all got it right.  In fact one person based their guess on the fact that I had called Naomi a 'cheeky monkey' in the post.  That was not intended as a clue.  Until I read the comment I didn't even put two and two together.  I suppose I should have been more careful with my wording.  Oh well!  So

Suze, Karon, Julie and Jennifer S.,

please EMAIL ME with the subject "MONKEY" and I'll send off a digital paper I've created.  I almost got away without having to create anything new but Suze is also one of my own loyal followers and as such has a copy of almost every single thing I've created.  Therefore, as a result you'll now each be receiving a brand new paper created moments ago that no else has even seen yet.

Take care everyone and have a fabulous week!

We Love You Naomi!

As you all know, our wonderful Naomi has been battling with a seriously bad flare up of her medical condition.  Roughly two weeks ago, I put out a call for people to send me images of cards so that I could do a special post, showing Naomi just how much all her peeps love her.

Well the result has been great! Within the first five hours that the call went out, I already had one card image delivered to my inbox and another inquiry.  From there, the cards kept appearing all the way up until very early this morning.

So let the parade of cards letting Naomi know how we feel, begin now...

So, to our dearest Naomi, we all love you very much and hope to see you back here very soon even if it is just once and awhile until you get up on your feet again.  Know that you are very dear to our hearts and we wish you only the best.

To all those who have sent in cards, thank you so very much.  It warms my heart to see so many of you participating on just a couple week's notice.  Additionally, for those of you who have left comments showing your support and love, I thank you for the time and effort you have put in coming over here and supporting this blog.

Now, I know that some of you have already celebrated Mother's Day earlier this year and there are those of you yet to do so; however, here in North America and in many countries around the world, Mother's Day is celebrated today.  So, to any one of you who is a Mother to either the two legged variety or the four legged kind, I wish you all a very happy Mother's Day.  To celebrate I have a couple free sentiments for you all.  To get them, just head on over to my Happy Mother's Day post by clicking HERE.

Have a great day everyone and I hope to see you all again here on Tuesday!
