Hello!!
Well have have y'all been??? Do I ever miss blogland, the posting, seeing all your wonderful creations and commenting. I feel a little disconnected due to tending to life's commitments but am so thankful I have time this morning to post and hopefully get to see what everyone is up to.
Michael's Progress, Short Version:
Let me start by giving you the wonderful news received this past week, as most of you know Michael had 4 appointments at the IWK Hospital off island in Halifax and he will not have to go back until this time next year, yes you heard me, one year later!!!! Michael has show tremendous progress and all testing came back normal.
Michael's Progress, Detailed Version:
Michael had Urology tests done which was our biggest concern, when Michael was born he had major bowel surgery which can cause one of two problems, the one the doctors were concerned with is called a Tethered Chord which can cause nerves in the bladder to function improperly as Michael grows. The last testing showed concern but the most recent testing showed no concern which of course was our prayers answered. They did make us aware that as Michael goes through puberty there is a high chance problems will emerge but I am focusing on the small percent where he will be free of it.
Michael also seen Orthopedics and we all walked out smiling from ear to ear as the Doctors were quite proud of Michael's progress, he is one determined little boy. We did learn he has a twisted femur which causes Michael's leg to extend out and sideways but that is much better than walking on his toes causing more back damage.
So overall I was ecstatic and relieved at all the wonderful reports, thank you all for your thoughts and prayers and for always being such an amazing support, you all rock!!!
Let me give a shout out to my bestie Kelly Cahill who has been my biggest support since she came into our lives 9 years ago, Kelly don't hesitate to say yes to every trip made to Halifax and is always such a big help emotionally and physically. Thank you Kelly
Now for my card!!!
So this card doesn't have a name that I know off as it was first created by Julie Walker who I met in Card Making Tips on Facebook, she mentioned Roll Back Cuts so I thought this would be an appropriate name so if you decide to Google it I am not sure you will find this technique, lol
But HERE is the link to Julie's creation, you have to request an invitation to the group first, it has 13,964 members and rising!
To make it shorter post I am going to be brief as to how it was made but plan on making many more and will do a picture tutorial once I perfect it.
I cut a piece of card the same size as the card base and cut diagonally to make 4 triangles.
I glued just the outer edge of the triangle to base of card and rolled the tip back to the base.
I hope you all have a fantastic day , these are not just words, seriously Have A Fantastic Day!!!
