Freebie Sneak Peek & Update on Naomi's Condition

Hello everyone!

It is Lisa from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles and I'm back with the sneak peek for this week's freebie which will be out on Tuesday--fingers crossed (I'll explain the fingers crossed in a bit!).  If you haven't been over to this blog in the past week then you are probably wondering who I am and why I'm here instead of Naomi.  If you are interested in finding out, you can click HERE

Before I get to this week's sneak peek, I'm sure that many of you are anxious to hear how our wonderful Naomi is doing.  Now at the beginning of the week, things weren't any better.  She was still in intense pain and couldn't spend any real time at the computer because her eyes were burning so badly.  However, I am happy to report that towards the end of the week, there has been some improvement.  She even managed to get out of the house for a bit and take a small walk in the healing sunshine.  She is itching to create and will hopefully soon be able to do so.  I need to temper this good news with a BUT though.  While it is great that she is headed in the right direction, her condition is one where there might be two steps forward and one back.  However, we'll all keep our fingers crossed that she stays going forward and will be back with us all in Bloggyland very soon.  In the interim you'll have to put up with me!

That being said, I have a new snippet of this week's upcoming freebie to whet your appetite.  Hee, hee!  Will you be able to figure it out beforehand???!!!

Okay Naomi, it is time to STOP reading this,  RIGHT NOW or it will spoil the surprise.

She actually told me that while it was hard, she didn't go any further, the last time I asked.  Hopefully, the urge to peek won't be too overwhelming and get the better of her this time.

Okay, I also wanted to let you know that Naomi is so overwhelmed and so thankful for all the comments you have been leaving her.  I know that this has helped immensely in her battle to get better.  What will help even more is if you have the opportunity to create a card for her and let her know you are thinking of her and wishing her well. On Tuesday I put out a request for a card drive.  So far, I have received images for two cards and and have heard from a third person who is interested in participating, I'm just waiting on her card.
For those of you who missed that post, I'm repeating the information here.  If any of you would like to create a card for Naomi, letting her know you're thinking of her and wishing that she is back up on her feet again soon, create a card and send me the image of your card by EMAIL (just click on EMAIL to get my address).  Please put "Cards For Naomi" in the subject line so I can keep track of what I hope amounts to quite a few.  When sending me the email, please make sure you include your name and the address for your blog too so that I can link your card back to your blog.  Now, just to let you know, this week I was without Internet service for over four days, one of the reasons that this post is going out so late in the day.  So, if you don't hear back from me right away it might just be because it goes out again.  Fingers crossed it won't but since the repair people are stumped as to why we lost it in the first place, it is hard to say whether it will happen again.

I would like to collect images for all the cards and create a special post for Naomi to go out on her blog by May 12.  May 12th is Mother's Day here in North America and I thought this would be a nice day for her to receive some extra love.  That should give you all enough time to make one right?  I'll also give you Naomi's snail mail address at the time if you don't have it so that you can send your card to her personally.  Normally, I wouldn't go around giving out other people's addresses but Naomi has posted it on her blog in the past so I feel reasonably comfortable in letting all of her friends wanting to send her well wishes know what it is. If you are unable to make a card but would still like to send Naomi your well wishes, just leave her a comment.  I'll be checking several times a day and uploading comments as they come in.

Now if it happens that Naomi is back between now and May 12th, that is okay too.  I know for a fact that any card she receives will mean the absolute world to her!  Besides, I now have authorship, so I can always sneak over while she is sleeping and create our special 'wishing you well' post without her knowing it.  Of course if she reads this she will know it so she better have stopped reading when I asked her to!

That is it for today.  I'm so happy that you were able to join me again today.  Please come back on Tuesday and pick up Naomi's wonderful new freebie.  I'll provide another update on Naomi's situation at that time and also let you know how the card drive is going.

Hope to see you all back on Tuesday!

Freebie - "Sick Lolly"

Hello everyone.  It is Lisa here to provide you with this week's freebie.  If you missed the post I created on Saturday, I'm just here to help Naomi out a bit until she gets back on her feet by providing all her loyal readers with her weekly freebies.

This week we have Sick Lolly.
Update:
This image is no longer available for free.  If you are interested in purchasing it, it will be in the store as soon as Naomi is back on her feet.

Now this image is certainly appropriate. Sick Lolly is need of some tender loving care just like his creator Naomi.  In fact I've created a get well card for her using her adorable new image.

Here is the front of the card...

If you would like to see the inside and/or the details for this card you can head on over to my blog and check out my post HERE.

Vicky from Crafting Vicky also took some time to help show you how great this image looks all coloured up and part of a card too.

Here is the front of her card....

She did a marvelous job didn't she?  If you would like to see the details on this card you can head on over to Vicky's blog and check out her post HERE.

Now Naomi, if you are reading this, STOP RIGHT NOW or it will spoil the surprise.

Okay, hopefully if Naomi popped in to see what kind of havoc I was creating on her blog she will have stopped reading this post.  If not, boy oh boy...

Now, if any of you would like to create a card for Naomi too, I'm sure that would help to brighten her day. You don't have to use this image it could be any kind of card letting her know you're thinking of her and wishing that she is back up on her feet again soon.   If this is something you are interested in doing, create a card and send me the image of your card by EMAIL (just click on EMAIL to get my address).  Please put "Cards For Naomi" in the subject line so I can keep track of what I hope amounts to quite a few.  When sending me the email, please make sure you include your name and the address for your blog too so that I can link your card back to your blog.  I would like to collect images for all the cards and create a special post for Naomi to go out on her blog by May 12.

Thanks for stopping by everyone and a very special thank you to Vicky who helped me out by creating a wonderful card to showcase Naomi's fabulous image.  While it is possible I may put out a post later this week, I'll definitely be back Saturday to provide you all with a sneak peek of next week's freebie and an update on Naomi's condition if there is any change, so I hope to see you all then!
