 I have reached 300 followers!!!!!  ooooh , have to put on my thinking hat and figure out how to celebrate!!!!

Today I am showing you a card using Gilding Flakes!! If you never heard of them they are like foil, they are small pieces and are very light. 

 

I know that doesn't explain too much so once again I am turning you over to the very person I admire and has learned majority of my skills...

I have to show you the card that Christina made, Look at that bird cage, isn't it stunning! Don't underestimate these flakes, there are so many ways  you can use them.

 

 

 

 

For my card I used Paper Made Kit for Feburary, March's kit should be here soon, eeeek!!!

 

I also used gilding flakes for the circle punch outs on the spaces between the ribbon.

 

 The flowers are taken from the package itself, lol, not wasting anything!!! Just love this kit

(well not that I would have to mention that)

Easter Card - He Has Risen

Happy Monday!!!

 

Today I am doing a quick post for I have so much to do today!

This card was an order I received on facebook and had to be posted so again I didn't add too much dimension.

 

The sentiment "He is risen was stamped with antique blue by ranger and the cross and rays were covered in Stickles.

The flowers were cut out from the backing paper and the top flowers are stickers that came with the Story Book machine I never use..shame shame

 I added tim holtz recollections lace and embossed the bottom have with Cassie's baracade embossing folder.

The cute little butterflies are from my small punches

 





  

I have to tell you before I go that I was thrilled with the result of my digital release on Saturday , I am only 3 away from reaching 300 followers!!!!  Big milestone for me, I am so excited!!!!

Yes it is quite rare to see a post from me on a Sunday but I have all my cards done up for this week and I wanted to fit this one in for a challenge over at
Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog 
 The challenge is Shades of Reds so I couldn't help using the beautiful corsage I bought over at Christina's store. .

Sandy has even offered up a free digital to work with in case you want to participate and don't have any of her digitals.

Here is my card!
 



I used my new stamps I just received in the mail from Fresh Squeezed Stamps called "backgrounds" Enlarge photo to see the beautiful hat pin in the corsage which is perfect for a card and gift in one!

I made the background using spectrum Noir Pens and alcohol solution, isn't it gorgeous! You can make this background using any alcohol pens or alcohol ink, Christina over at Card Making Magic has a fantastic video tutorial!!! Click HERE to learn how to make a Spectrum Noir Background!

 

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Craft, Christina did such a lovely job putting them together on this gorgeous corsage which is also available for sale in her shop!

 



The scallop boarder , woodgrain strip and horizontal stripes are all stamps from Fresh Squeezed Stamps!

 

 I got to say two things on this card for this person I made the card is miles away and I miss her so much and she has just got a new job she has been waiting for !  This is the free balloon I got from Sandy's Designs, I water colored it to go with the distress look and covered in glossy accents which is not showing up.
