Get out those scraps because we have a load of inspiration from the DT over at HIMCR this week!!! The girls will be so excited you dropped by.

For my project I did a Get Whale Card for Troy, he has the cold that has been hanging on for over a month. 

I had a whale made out of origami and never knew if I would ever use him but he was perfect for this card!

Also I had a piece of glossy embossed card I saved from an embossing folder package, I sanded it down and inked it to bring out the pattern and also inked it around the edges.

New Email

Hi!

Today I am just dropping in to let you all know that I have a new email  jerri255@bellaliant.net  . I have yet to subscribe to each of you by email once again and that may take some time due to my busy schedule.

There is some very exciting news lurking in the background but I am not at liberty to say yet!!!!!  It is very exciting for me and I can't wait to share it with all of you, be patient with me please, it may take a while.

I know some of you don't have subscribe by email so if I am not by to visit you it may just be that I forgot seeing I can't get my blogger feed to show new posts in the Reader's section. I visit so many of you so I do need a list or an email to go by, I cannot depend on my memory, lol

I feel the Love Project

Hello!

Today I am participating in the "I feel the Love Project" , the whole world was effected by this insanity and devastated for the what the parents were about to go through who lost their precious children, then husbands and children that lost their moms.

In loving memory, the I feel the Love Project would like to pay tribute to Victoria Leigh Soto (Vicki), a first grade teacher at Sandy Hook Elementary. She lost her life on 12.14.12, but six or seven (still to be confirmed) students in her classroom survived that day because of her selfless actions. It is those students that we will be making cards for this month. They are not to be forgotten. They too have suffered a tremendous loss and have experienced a tragedy that will forever change their lives. We will be making Valentine's Day cards/cards with hearts on them for these wonderful kids. All projects should be colorful and uplifting. These children are all first grade students.  

In addition, we will be collecting cards for Ms. Soto's family. These can be pretty blank cards, thinking of you cards, or any appropriate, uplifting cards that one would send to a family member after a loss. Please be sure to sign your cards. Ms. Soto's family members include her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Soto (Carlos and Donna); her sisters, Jillian and Carlee; and her brother, Carlos Matthew. Among Ms. Soto's favorite things are the color green and flamingos.

Happy Monday everyone!

 Did you all have a good weekend? My oldest son left this morning to go back to university , we all had so much fun while he was home for Christmas and all became addicted to Scrabble! There are always so many laughs.

 Today I am showing you something a little different coming from me. I had a photo that I had been wanting to put in a layout since July 1st, Michael's birthday and Canada Day. It was such an eventful day and we got to spend it with Christina and Griff  from the UK!!!! 

 Griff constantly took pictures or video taped ( which I had hoped would rub off on me) so this night I decided to join him.  I snapped many photos of Michael and his friend back on wrapped in a blanket, I actually took one of the best snapshots ever taken in my life!

  I haven't had much time to play around in Photoshop but over the weekend I did and here is what I came up with.  * Note - all is created by me, it is not a digital package. 

If I had Photoshop followers I would certainly fill you in on what I did to create this!!! If there is anyone who works with Photoshop let me know so I can create a tutorial in the future with another project, I would love to do that.
