Happy Thursday!
Today I am showing you a card I made for a friend of mine Vicky from
Crafting Vicky, Her Stepmom's mom past away last week, my heart goes out to her and to all who are effected. Drop by and leave Vicky some bloggy encouragement and love
AND of course all prayers are welcomed. I know how important a Step Parent/Step Grandparent can be , they are very special people to love another child as if they were their own, I consider them beautiful and brave.
I chose one of Vicky's favorite colors , the colors you would see in a sunflower, yellow.
|
I made my own background using:
- White Embossing Powder from Recollections
- Yellow and Pink ink from Designer Ink
- Almohadilla de Tina from Marvy Matchables
- Adirondack Alcohol Blending Solution from Tim Holtz Ranger
- Watermark Resist from Inkssentials Ranger
- Wooden and clear "background" stamps from stash
How to acheive this effect:
First stamp your image using a clear medium ( I used Watermark resist from Inkssentials Ranger)
Add white embossing powder and heat emboss
Next choose what color ink you want and cover over areas of the embossed stamp, to add depth ink more in certain spots.
Next using alcohol blending solution on a cotton ball wipe over the embossed image to remove ink.
Repeat this step with each image you add..Voila!

|
I inked the flower around the edges with "Almohadilla de Tina ink" and added a ladybug button from my stash. The lines and holes were faded so I spruced the lady bug up by using my black (Noir) Spectrum Noir Alcohol Pen, it worked perfect!!! |
|
The sentiment is from " ChatterBox" from Alley Way Stamps and the strip was created using acetate paper , alcohol pens and blending solution.

Have a great day!

Wowwwwwwwww! This is gorgeous! I loveeeeeeeeee the colors and the masking!! :)
PS ... thanks for the love on the PMB blog :) Sadly ... I wish it was fun to be the 'card maker' for work... but it's really not... lol :) The last thing I want to do when I get home from a 9 hour day, is make a card for a bunch of peeps I just left! LOL! But such is life! :) I don't get paid to do it ... it's all on my dime :) Oh well..... :)
beautiful card Naomi! LOVE the background you created!!!

Thank you so much Naomi! That's such a beautiful card. I really love the background that you have created. Your kind words are really a balm on our pain!
Sorry to hear of Vicky's loss... so sad. Your card will always be treasured by her.... it is always difficult to make sympathy cards (for me it is).. so I always admire how people make them.
I always love reading through what you have used to create... :-)
