3D Background Using Strips of Stamped Paper

Happy Hump Day!!!

Today I am showing you my first sympathy card ever, I was having a looky through my card boxes over the weekend and noticed I had notta one! It is always nice to be able to go and reach for any card for any occasion when needed , unfortunately for sad occasions as well, you hope you will never have to reach for it but the fact remains it a part of life.
For my card I used "Deepest Sympathy" sentiment from the stampset
You can purchase these stamps here, Alley Way Stamps have the best font ever!

This picture was really blurry and I manage to fix it a little , I didn't have time to go back and retake the picture but the next two came out great.

The background was made by stamping "boarder stamps" from Freshly Squeezed Stamps on red cardstock, I then cut into strips and inked around the edges. To give dimension I used 3D square adhesives to raise the first and third strip.

The whitish flowers I made with my new bottle of Recollection flower petals, I love them for they are the perfect size for cards! The single blue flower is from Wild Orchid Crafts

The spellbinders label and Hat Pin is from a package I bought from Christina's new shop over at Flower's Ribbon's and Pearls
Christina's products has change my whole experience of card making.

The spirals in the flower cluster was simply made by cutting thin strips of paper with my paper cutter then using my quilling tool I rolled them and fluffed them out just a little.

Have a fantastic day!!!
