Homemade Wall Hanging made from Doiley!

Happy Good Friday!!!!

It is hard to believe it sneaked up on us like that! Here we can't wait for the Easter Bunny to arrive, more importantly we are remembering that Jesus was crucified and accended to heaven. It is hard to get Michael to understand this so it is worded in a way that he understands the very basics but will no doubtedly be able to understand more as he get older.

Speakin of Michael I would like to give you an update on Micahel's Sedated MRI... we will be heading across on May 22nd and they have given a surgery date but it turned out to be before the MRI date so obviously it needs attention, lol I will let you know!

Taking the focus off Michael , todayI would like to put my oldest son in the spotlight! I made a wall hanging with Ryan when he was only a year and a half!
Look at those beautiful big blue eyes!!!!!

I started off with a medium size doiley and inked it with Black Soot Distress Ink and then heat embossed it with black embossing powder.
I had a (circle) piece of cardboard I had kept for a couple of years and it happened to be the perfect size for this doiley!!!  I traced around the cardboard paper on black cardstock so I could have a nice backing to this wall hanging.

I used Wild orchid flowers, The letter R is from Tim holtz Ideaology Grunge Blocks and inked it again with black distress ink.
The decorative spellbinders I bought over at Flowers Ribbons and Pearls from Christina .
I stamped a floral at the base of the cluster which is from Recollections , also from Recollections is the blue lace boarder down the left side.
The background behind the photo was made eith my wooden chevron stamp!

Have a fantastic Easter weekend!!!!
